Everyday Skin Care Regime

Hi my lovelies! Today I’d like to talk about my skin care regime and its importance in our lives. All us makeup addicts have to be real careful of how we take care of our skin or we end up clogging our pores and the result henceforth is nothing short of horrifying. To prevent skin mishaps everyone must adopt a skin care regime that suit them the most.

Over a few years of trial and error, I have a routine that suits me the best. Hope it helps you out as well!

Step I

Removing any makeup or dirt off the face using a face wipe. The ones that work best for me are the Johnsons & Johnsons Baby Wipes. You guys will get acquainted with my baby products obsession in this article 🙂

Just a heads up, for removing eye makeup, I use the Baby Oil by the same company with a cotton ball and it swipes right off.

I know that Clinique, MAC, and other high end brands have removers available out there but I have come to rely on these two the most for they are extremely gentle and great for sensitive skin like mine.

Step I.5

I do exfoliate my skin using a face scrub by Forest Essentials’ Revitalising Gel Scrub (Kashmiri Walnut) three times a week. Exfoliation is required to help rid skin of blackheads and prevents clogging of pores and leaves skin as soft as a baby’s. I recommend for beginners to start slow like twice a month and not go overboard like me 🙂

Step II

Next, I wash my face using Kaya’s Purifying Cleanser with Salicylic Acid. Salicylic Acid has properties such that make it a key ingredient in topical acne products and safe to say it, it has worked wonders on my skin. I personally would always recommend using a face wash from the chemist and most of those happen to have salicylic acid as an ingredient.

Step III

Toning! Yes it is important! Yes it is dreary! But it will save your life! It is used to take down any residual product on your face. It really gets into your skin to help clean it up and restores your face to its normal hydrate self. I personally am a big fan of any naturally derived Rose Water for this step for I have a ready supply of that available to me. But for those looking for a readily available market product, I do recommend Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion Step II.

Step IV

EYE CREAM! Everyone in their mid-late 20s need to get on the band wagon of this trend for it is a life saver to all of us with wrinkle prone skin. Eye cream is to be tapped into the skin around your eyes for better absorptions and care. I use Clinique’s All About Eyes and its basic structure and hypoallergenic combination are my current favorites.

Step V

Night Cream/Moisturizer. Whatever float your boat. I would recommend something with a bit of SPF in it but I know sensitive skin reacts to SPF harshly. So like I said. Use what suits you best! I am currently obsessed with Forest Essential’s Day Cream with Jasmine, Madurai, and Mogra. It is by far cry the best day cream I have used in years.
